Forfar Lochside Caravan And Motorhome Club Campsite

One of the best sites we have stayed at during many years of touring Scotland and never ever ever do we want to go home (Manchester) The site wardens are wonderful very friendly and always time to say hello give advice or lend a helping hand, they never seem to stop.The site and facilities are spotless. Just off site through a gate there's a smashing park for the kid's and a very easy level 2.5 mile walk around the Forfar Loch. Lovely Forfar town centre with supermarket's lots of different shops, pubs restaurants garages, it's got everything, is within easy walking distance. It's a great base to stay long periods, so many interesting historical and beautiful places. Within an hours drive from Forfar site there are Villages Towns and City's, Scenic mountain and coastal roads to explore. 100% recommend.

This is a really nice campsite with good facilities and warm, clean showers. Perfect if not for the bathroom system with only one key per plot. It is inconvenient to have to plan joint bathroom trips or to not be able to go when one person is already there. No flexibility from staff on this, no second key was provided. I was going to give 4, the kids voted 5 stars!

Although we have been members of the Caravan Club for thirty-odd years we have never visited this site before. Located adjacent to a small (by Scottish standards) loch which is about three miles in circumference, the site is very convenient to the town centre and about a mile away from the A90 Aberdeen to Dundee trunk road. So it's a handy stopping off point to break a journey, which is what we are doing. However, there is much in the area to attract the visitor and it is worth spending several days here to fully appreciate what the area had to offer. The site toilet block is modern and excellent and spotlessly clean thanks to the hardworking husband and wife team. As with many towns there will be a few Alpha-males who think it is big to drive around recklessly in souped-up cars making a noise and that may be heard at the site on occasion. Nevertheless there are many positives about this site and it's certainly worth a longer stay than our one night.

“EXCELLENT STAFF” Great medium size site, excellent location to the town lots of takeaways also takeaway menus available on site, great park for the kids just off site 5 metres away from side gate. Very clean and well kept facilities. Excellent staff really will do anything to help. Really great site overall will definitely go back again.

Fantastic location five minutes walk and your in the town centre, plenty supermarkets for all your shopping, local butchers and bakery and plenty local buses to take you any number of places, great if you have your bus pass! There's a beautiful walk around the Loch with plenty wild life. The site itself is very tidy and the facilities are very good and spotless, with friendly staff, all in all had a wonderful stay.
